Take your art to the next level. Spend 2 sessions painting en plein air (on location) at predetermined locations within half an hour of Maynooth with your instructor Linda Mackey Lang.

Linda has been painting and teaching en plein air workshops for the past 25 years in locations as extreme and distant as the Canadian High Arctic, Iceland, Greenland, Siberia & Antarctica where she has learned techniques to deal with most en plein air challenges.

In the tradition of the Group of Seven, Linda will provide pre-gessoed birch panels and show you how to paint the scene before you. Linda will teach you how to choose your composition, demonstrate painting techniques and guide you in your painting.

 

In the next 4 sessions, you will bring your reference photograps, any experiences from your journal/sketchbook you would like to convey, and your finished plein air paintings to Linda's studio where she will walk you through the process of taking your plein air creations and producing a large canvas that leads the viewer into the painting and portrays the story you wish to share through your art.
