Acrylics are perfect for abstract techniques and "playing." Acrylics are the most versatile paint medium. In order for you to learn a variety of techniques incorporating various methods, mediums, & materials, the supplies are included with this workshop.

Acrylics can be used like oil paints, watercolour and to paint on a variety of surfaces including fabric, rocks, wood or glass. When you mix various mediums with them you can even create "skins" for clothing, etc.

We will use a variety of techniques including the use of saran wrap, lace, pour painting, and stencils to create unique one of a kind art masterpieces. Each week will include a new project. 

​

Week 1 will be an underwater painting using saran wrap, lace and stencils on canvas paper. 

​

Week 2 you will create a wooden tray and matching coasters using pour painting techniques, liquid glass, and cell floe oil. 

​

Week 3 you will use faux stained glass techniques to create a painting on glass.

​

Week 4 you will learn blending techniques and various brush strokes to create a painting on canvas.
